Breaking News: Islanders Send Trent Hunter to Devils for Brian Rolston

The New York Islanders have acquired forward Brian Rolston from the New Jersey Devils, in exchange for Trent Hunter.

Hunter's been hampered with various injuries over the last few years, keeping him out of the lineup for much of that time.

On the other hand, Brian Rolston has at least produced around 35 points in each of the last two seasons, and more importantly, has been able to play in 65 and 80 games, respectively.

This is a nice move, one that could lead to something bigger, but I'm not going to speculate right now. Snow was able to get rid of a player that wasn't able to do much, and get someone who is just the opposite.

Rolston also brings the Isles closer to the cap floor, and gives them a much-needed veteran presence.

Comments are welcome.
